Churches & Community
Church – Community
Over the years, we have built many beautiful churches in Eastern North Carolina, ranging from small hometown churches to much larger ones. Each of these projects is designed and created carefully, with incredible attention to detail and close communication with the client and their wishes. Many of the larger churches include classrooms, gymnasiums, kitchens, and bathrooms as well. We’ve also enjoyed working on a large variety of community projects, including fire departments, recreation centers, city markets, memorial libraries, schools, and more. Each of these projects is unique and different, requiring different types of design help, suppliers, and subcontractors. Being a company founded in Eastern North Carolina, Jackson Builders takes great pride in providing the best services for our local community schools, libraries, and more.

This facility, designed by Stewart Cooper and Newell Architects.
The Wayne County 911 Communications Center is comprised of an 18-console Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) system that also houses an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), which accommodates 56 responders. The center operates in a vertical dispatch configuration, staff handle calls from beginning to end, dispatching first responders and monitoring radio traffic.
The interior features included a large meeting room, administrative offices, breakout rooms, a kitchen with an eat-in dining area, and lavatories. The central response and dispatch area is adjacent to a state-of-the-art technology room, which holds the network servers with internet accessibility. A key feature is the essential facility compliant, generator back-up system and uninterruptible power supply, for electrical power redundancy due to interruption.
