Our History
Since our founding in 1974, Jackson Builders has grown through clear communication, trusted relationships, and a focus on delivering real value. With over 50 years of experience and a team of long-standing employees, we remain grounded in our founding values while continually evolving to meet the needs of our clients and the region.
What began with shade and shelter buildings for warehouse and agricultural use has developed into a full-service general contracting firm. Today, we provide turnkey construction solutions across Eastern North Carolina — always with a commitment to quality, durability, and trust.
Expanding Our Focus
In the 1980s, Jackson Builders experienced significant growth in the metal building industry — adding more employees, clients, and momentum. As we grew, so did our vision. While continuing to work with pre-engineered metal buildings, we expanded into larger, more complex projects.
This evolution led to the lasting partnerships we’re known for today — with clients in warehousing, retail, churches, and more — all built on a reputation for value, craftsmanship, and trust.

In 1983, Jackson Builders partnered with Butler Manufacturing Co., one of the world’s leading metal building companies. This milestone elevated our reputation and helped fuel our growth. Within just one year, we earned Butler’s prestigious Career Builder designation.
Over the next two decades, we were recognized with awards in every major category — including six annual sales volume awards. Most recently, Butler honored us for surpassing $55 million in total sales since our partnership began — a record-breaking achievement that reflects decades of trust, performance, and shared success.
